Innsbruck (Tyrol)
Sur invitation du Groupe d’Action 8 de la Stratégie macro-régionale de l’UE pour la Région Alpine (SUERA), le PARN a participé au Sommet sur la gestion des forêts de protection en contexte de changement climatique, organisé le 18 septembre à Innsbruck par les partenaires autrichiens du GA8. Cette conférence a permis d’aborder de manière globale les enjeux et préoccupations, ainsi que les besoins des gestionnaires alpins en matière de démarches intégrées et d’outils innovants pour améliorer la résilience des forêts de protection contre les risques naturels et leur adaptation aux changements climatiques en cours et dans le futur.

CLIMATE IN HARDLY ANY OTHER AREA the consequences of climate change and social transitions are more evident than they are in the mountain areas. Therefore it is important to protect the Alpine living environment and economic area in the best possible way against natural hazards in order to ensure sustainable development.
The working group 8 of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP), co-chaired by Austria and Bavaria, is dealing with risk of natural hazards and adaptation to climate change. Within the framework of this event stakeholders of the Alpine area and political representatives will discuss new ways of dealing with natural hazards as well as necessary adaptation strategies.
The results will contribute to the development of a political agenda for a Regional Risk Governance as well as to the implementation of the Austrian Forest Strategy 2020+.
